The quick answer

Valve’s leaderboard FAQ requires Prime, Premier participation and a place among a region’s top 1,000. Having a CS Rating by itself is not a guarantee of a public leaderboard entry.[1]

Understand the distinction

The regional board is determined by the servers you play on most, rather than a manual region selector. A submitted leaderboard name is moderated and, once approved, remains locked for that season.[1]

Suggested checklist

  1. Compare the in-client rating with the relevant regional board, not a friend-list position.[1]
  2. Choose a display name you can keep for the season before submitting it.[1]
  3. If a name is rejected, review the naming guidance linked by Valve rather than assuming the rating was erased.[1]

Limits and next steps

The source lists public board rules, not a live ranking feed. Current leaderboard positions are not reproduced on this page.[1]
